Donald Trump claims US has had biggest ever job gains, Internet asks 'Have you seen the unemployment numbers?'

On Saturday, Donald Trump openly criticized Joe Biden's take on fighting the pandemic should it hit the country another time. In an ABC News interview, the Democratic presidential nominee said that he would "shut down" the United States of America and listen to the scientists to control the spread of the virus, while criticizing Trump's methods and calling it a "fundamental flaw". Joe pointed out that this would be an essential step to get the country moving, "the economy growing, and people employed".

But it seems Trump doesn't approve of Joe's ideas. "Despite biggest ever job gains and a V shaped recovery, Joe Biden said, “I would shut it down", referring to our Country. He has no clue," he tweeted. Little did he know that his comment on social media would spark an outrage among fans who countered his remark with questions about unemployment.

 A user shared that the stock market picking up is not indicative of job numbers going up. "Th stock market is not the economy. Have you seen the unemployment numbers? It hasn’t been this bad since the Great Depression!," she wrote, while podcast host, Brian Tyler Cohen, shared: "Pretty sure it's not a V when it's only a downward slope."

Another directly said Trump was lying about the job numbers. "Lying about job numbers Any job growth in recent months has simply been a product of resurrecting jobs that were lost at the start of the pandemic. Presenting that as “job gains” is dishonest and the trick of a conman!

You had no clue and this is why we are still hurting from COVID while most countries are near recovering from it!" the user tweeted.
