Trump campaign senior advisor Jason Miller said Sunday, August 23, that President Donald Trump plans to speak all four nights at the Republican Convention. As per reports, he will speak at 10 pm Eastern hour, every night.

Per news reports, Trump campaign officials involved with the planning process of the four-day event said that the RNC is themed “Honoring the Great American Story”. The convention will reportedly also feature prominently a number of well-known Trump supporters, members of the Trump family, and those whom the Republican Party calls members of the “silent majority” of Americans who have been aided by Trump’s policies.

As per a Forbes report, speakers for the event are reported to include former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, Senator Tim Scott, Senator Joni Ernst, and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, as well as “viral conservative stars” like St. Louis couple Patricia and Mark McCloskey and Covington Catholic High School graduate Nicholas Sandmann.

Miller, per Forbes, called the Democratic National Convention a “massive grievance-fest”. He said that Trump would deliver a “great, uplifting message,” teasing speakers who “you would not expect to be supporters of the president”. He said that the Republicans have “some big surprises lined up.”

GOP strategist Mike DuHaime said about the RNC, “If you’re an incumbent, you get reelected if you do a good job and thrown out if you don’t. So challenge one for the president is to communicate what he’s doing on coronavirus and what he’s going to do to get the country back on a normal track.”

The convention will take place from Monday, August 24, to Thursday, August 27. According to a report in the New York Times, two producers from Trump’s old NBC show ‘The Apprentice’ are helping produce the affair. Trump told Fox News on Thursday, August 20, that Republicans plan to have more live events than Democrats.

As per reports, each night of the convention is also supposed to feature a speaker born in countries such as Cuba and Venezuela, to talk about “what Republicans see as the dangers of socialism”. The convention will also feature a “Democrats For Trump” segment.

The opening night will reportedly highlight the “Land of Promise”, aiming to show how Trump helped renew the American dream. Tuesday’s theme, per ABC News, is “Land of Opportunity”, which is expected to cast Biden’s plans as “socialist” and “radical left.” Wednesday has supposedly been themed “Land of Heroes”. It will feature several conservative personalities.

Vice President Mike Pence will also deliver the keynote Wednesday from Baltimore’s Fort McHenry, which inspired “The Star-Spangled Banner” in 1814, reportedly to highlight Trump’s opposition to professional athletes who protest racial injustice by kneeling during the national anthem. The final night, themed “Land of Greatness”, will see Trump’s personal attorney, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani speak.

One major difference between the DNC and the RNC, Republicans said, will be the emphasis on live events rather than taped events. Trump repeatedly criticized Democrats’ reliance on pre-taped videos, rather than live addresses, saying on Tuesday, “Live, by the way, is always much more exciting.”
