Trump retorts with 'I didn't call you' after Harris Faulkner calls him ex-president, Internet says 'go sit down'
Donald Trump snapped at a Fox News host who had asked him why he was speaking out against President Joe Biden and his administration's ongoing border issues despite being out of office. Talking to Harris Faulkner, he slammed not only the current administration for "destroying our country" but also the host who referred to him as the ex-president.
During a phone call interview on 'The Faulkner Focus' on Monday, March 22, Trump had spoken at length about the government's border policies and even said that Democrats are bringing violence from other countries into the US.

"You have a lot of bad people coming into our country and they're [the Biden administration] is doing nothing about it," Trump said on the show noting that murderers and sex traffickers are among those currently entering the US. He also added that he was speaking out about the situation at the border because he wants "to do what’s right." Toward the end of the interview, Faulkner told Trump, "Most presidents, ex-presidents like yourself do not weigh in at this level. Why did you feel like you needed to on this issue?"
This is when Trump lashed back at her saying, "Well, you called me, I didn't call you, in all fairness."
Faulkner pointed out to his the strongly-worded statement he had passed the previous night."You wrote the statement last night. It was pretty strong." To which Trump pointed out that he wanted to do what is right. "I put out a statement," Trump agreed. "The reason I weigh in is very simple. They're destroying our country. Very simple. It can't get simpler than that."
In a statement on Sunday, March 21, Trump was not particularly lenient in his criticism of the current administration. "We proudly handed the Biden Administration the most secure border in history. All they had to do was keep this smooth-running system on autopilot," he wrote in the statement. "Instead, in the span of a just few weeks, the Biden Administration has turned a national triumph into a national disaster. They are in way over their heads and taking on water fast." Among the other harsh things he said, he concluded, "The only way to end the Biden Border Crisis is for them to admit their total failure and adopt the profoundly effective, proven Trump policies."
Twitter has been mocking Trump for lashing back at Faulkner with many pointing out that he has been stuck in the past. "Trump snaps at Fox News host after she calls him ‘ex-president’: ‘You called me, I didn’t call you’ : He just CAN NOT get over that he LOST!!" one tweeted. Another, pointing more facts said, "Well it’s obvious that trump didn’t listen to Fauci as he watched about 1/2 million die and said the virus was no big deal. and that’s a big reason why he is an 2 time impeached ex president..."
