Ex-POTUS Donald Trump, a 2024 GOP frontrunner, urged GOP-led House to leverage government spending for concessions

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Wednesday, September 20, former President and 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump expressed his views in a TRUTH Social post where he called on the GOP-led House to leverage its control over government spending (the power of the purse) to secure significant concessions.

After his post, Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz took to X (formerly Twitter) to share Trump’s message adding, “Trump Opposes the Continuing Resolution. Hold the line.”

Following this event, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity posted on X (formerly Twitter) to update his followers more about ex-POTUS’ statements slamming President Joe Biden as he called him “crooked”.

Soon after Hannity’s tweet, the internet didn’t respond positively and blasted Trump for wanting the “country to go bankrupt”.

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “GAETZ: “Trump Opposes the Continuing Resolution. Hold the line.”

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from its official website titled, “ART OF THE DEAL: Trump Urges GOP to Use Shutdown Leverage, 'Defund Crooked Joe' [READ IT]”

In the article, it was reported that the former president Donald Trump has allegedly mocked Joe Biden on TRUTH Social on Wednesday.

He said, “A very important deadline is approaching at the end of the month. Republicans in Congress can and must defund all aspects of Crooked Joe Biden’s weaponized Government that refuses to close the Border, and treats half the Country as Enemies of the State.”

Trump concluded adding, “This is also the last chance to defund these political prosecutions against me and other Patriots. They failed on the debt limit, but they must not fail now. Use the power of the purse and defend the Country!”

After Sean Hannity tweeted Donald Trump’s slamming Biden, the internet quickly took a brutal jab at the GOP candidate as one person wrote, “He’s not in charge of the GOP they can function without his input.”

One person slammed Trump saying, “This is gonna be special when he loses in 24.”

A person simply commented, “Trump has experience in going bankrupt. Now he wants the country to go bankrupt,” and one more took a jab at Trump adding, “Stop taking orders from the powerless.”

One more said, “Trump is not in our government thus has no authority to interfere. House Republicans are actively sabotaging America on behalf of this traitor.”
