'He's a fool!' Donald Trump ripped as 'Morning Joe' airs Chris Christie's scathing political ad targeting ex-POTUS
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A new political ad supporting former New Jersey Governor and GOP candidate Chris Christie is making the rounds on social media, and 'Morning Joe,’ who has often had Chrisie on as a guest.
Hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough showcase this new ad on ‘Morning Joe’ where Christie calls former President Donald Trump a “fool” several times, for his recent remark on Hezbollah.
In response to Morning Joe’s showcase of this ad in support of Christie, several people have also slammed Trump, much like the GOP candidate.
Joe Scarborough applauds Chris Christie for ‘calling out Trump’
On ‘Morning Joe,’ host Mika Brzezinski introduced the new political ad, “Here is the new ad that Joe was talking about from a super PAC supporting former New Jersey governor Chris Christie, taking on former president Donald Trump over his recent comments praising Hezbollah.”
As ‘Morning Joe’ played the ad, the focus remained on Chris Christie who said, “He's a fool, only a fool would make those comments. only a fool would give comments that could give aid and comfort to Israel's adversary.”
Christie added, “This is someone who cares not about the American people, not about the people of Israel, but he cares about one person and one person only, the person he sees in the mirror when he wakes up in the morning.”
“We cannot once again nominate a fool like this and get him anywhere near the presidency of the United States. And having a fool like Donald Trump, making the comments in the tone he made then, is proving to folks he has no idea being president of the United States,” said the GOP candidate.
Joe Scarborough was the first to respond to Christie’s political ad, “Hezbollah continues their reign of terror, their targeting of our allies and Americans. Here, you have Donald Trump saying they're very smart, very, very smart people. Just like he said about President Xi and Kim Jong-un.”
Scarborough added, “Just like he said…and he admitted…he admitted he got along better with authoritarians. Chris Christie saying what a lot of republican voters are thinking. it's about time that you have republican candidates that are coming out and actually calling Donald Trump what he is.”
Donald Trump faces backlash following new ad
In response to ‘Morning Joe’ presenting the new ad of Chris Christie repeatedly calling Donald Trump a fool, one user commented, “The greatest honor I’ve had as an American, was helping to vote Trump out of office.”
“Honestly, the fact that Trump was president baffles me. He was, and still is, the laughingstock of the world,” wrote one user.

People also applauded Christie for “calling out Trump.”
One user wrote, “It’s too bad Christy doesn’t have a chance. I’m not Republican, I’m not even American, but at least he’s not insane,” and another wrote, “Chris Christie seems to be one of the only GOP candidates who understands that he's a candidate.”
“And still, almost, if not more than 50% of voting Americans consider voting for Trump. I hope those voting Americans can understand that for outsiders, this is mindblowing,” expressed one user.
