Donald Trump mocked after 'Morning Joe' hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski take a dig at Truth Social
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: After former Donald Trump attorney Sidney Powell pleaded guilty in the Fulton County, Georgia, election subversion case, Trump took over Truth Social and claimed that Powell was “never” his attorney.
On Monday morning, ‘Morning Joe’ hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough reported on the same, while they also mocked Truth Social, which is an alt-tech social media platform created by Trump Media & Technology Group.
Trump often uses Truth Social to talk about matters in hand, and most recently, the former President spoke about Powell, leaving the ‘Morning Joe’ hosts confused.
Joe Scarborough says he’s ‘so confused’
On ‘Morning Joe,’ host Mika Brzezinski brushed up on the latest developments between Sidney Powell and Donald Trump, “As for Powell, Trump is claiming she was never actually his lawyer.”
Joe Scarborough turned to his wife and co-host, “Really? That is interesting, I’m so confused.”
“Because he used to say she was,” said Brzezinski and continued, “in a post on Truth Social…”
“Truth,” chuckled Scarborough and repeated, “truth social.”
Brzezinski also laughed along with Scarborough, “Truth, we put that in quotes,” before the ‘Morning Joe’ hosts mockingly repeated the word “truth” again.
After talking about Trump’s latest Truth Social post about Powell, Brzezinski shared a 2020 tweet from Trump, where he had admitted that she had joined his legal team.
As soon as Brzezinski mentioned Rudy Guiliani who was heading the said team, Scarborough yelled out, “A truly great team!”
Internet mocks Donald Trump over Truth Social
After ‘Morning Joe’ hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski took a dig at Truth Social following Trump’s latest claims, the internet was quick to chime in.
One user wrote, “Trump pretending not to know Trump either,” and another joked, “Soon he will say that he is not Donald Trump.”
“Well of course Trump would say that! Sydney who? I think she made coffee around here,” commented one user, and another said, “Soon he'll tell us there's no truth in Truth Social.”
'Morning Joe’ viewers continued to make jokes about Trump, “How long before Donald Trump claims to have never met Melania Trump?”
“Trump's posts on social media should be handled in exactly the same way as if he had made them in a court of law before a judge. Don't try to become a public figure and seek power unless you can accept responsibility for your actions,” commented one user.
