Will Trump's MAGA supporters cancel 'The Simpsons' over Marge's clap back to Jenna Ellis' Kamala Harris comment?

MAGA supporters aren't happy with Marge Simpson's subtle shade towards Trump's campaign and began demanding for canceling 'The Simpsons'

Just days after President Donald Trump campaign's adviser, Jenna Ellis tweeted saying that presidential candidate Joe Biden's running mate- Kamala Harris sounds like Marge Simpson, the iconic animated character hit back at Ellis. In a recently released clip by the showrunners of 'The Simpsons' on their Twitter page, Marge Simpson can be seen expressing her displeasure at being compared to Kamala Harris.

In the brief clip, we see Marge standing on a stage and giving her a piece of mind over the comparison. The video starts off with Marge declaring that she usually doesn't get into politics, but the matriarch of the Simpsons family expresses her strong objection to the comparison. She can be heard saying, "I usually don't get into politics, but the president's senior adviser Jenna Ellis just said Kamala Harris sounds like me. Lisa said she doesn't mean it as a compliment." "If that’s so, as an ordinary suburban housewife I’m starting to feel a little disrespected. I teach my children not to name call, Jenna…”  At the end of the clip, Marge (voiced by Julie Kavner) can be heard muttering, "I was going to say I’m pissed off, but I’m afraid they’d bleep it.” 

While the internet was amused at such a strong reaction from Marge, Trump's supporters didn't seem to appreciate the animated character's subtle digs at their beloved President and his adviser- Ellis. After watching the clip, many of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) supporters began slamming the popular animated show and demanded for its cancellation. Looks like teh MAGA supporters found yet another thing that offends them. 

An internet user tweeted, "Donald Trump should use an executive order to cancel the Simpsons guaranteeing his 2nd term."

Another user wrote, "Please just cancel the simpsons at this point my god."

Several critics of the show pointed out that the popular animated show stopped being funny several years ago, and demanded for its cancellation, especially after Marge's video surfaced on the internet. "Just go off the air already, please, take what meager shreds of dignity you have left and pack it in, its 20 years past due," expressed an angry user.

"This show is a cheap husk of what it once was it needs to just be canceled already, let it go out with at least a smidgen of dignity," commented an user.

"Hey @TheSimpsons, I don’t care about what you think in regards to politics. Going forward, please cancel the production of your show, and close down all social media accounts. Thank you and keep in touch!" shared a user.

While MAGA supporters are unhappy with Marge's response to being compared to Kamala Harris, Internet users can't seem to get enough of it. Several users in the past were very pleased when Ellis tweeted comparing Kamala to Marge. Although Ellis meant it as a way to mock Kamala, internet users chose to view it as a compliment, considering how Marge is depicted as a strong and kind woman on 'The Simpsons'.
