The release of Bob Woodward's 'Rage' is already living up to its name and it has become all the rage among those looking forward to reading about several, new, behind-the-scenes stories about President Donald Trump's tenure at the White House. The book claims it will dive deep into exploring several controversial topics, such as Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic, decisions about natural security and America's racial unrest. Most intriguingly, however, the book's description claims it will reveal never-before-seen details about the relationship between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, claiming the relationship between the two figures to be something out of a "fantasy film."

Trump and Jong-Un have been very public about their approval for each other. Trump said in 2018 that in his meeting between him and Jong-Un, the two "fell in love." Addressing a crowd at a rally in West Virginia, he said: "He wrote me beautiful letters and they're great letters. We fell in love." It is those very letters that Woodward claims to be revealing in his book, which, according to Amazon, will be released on September 15, 2020. Woodward has claimed to have received 25 letters of correspondence between the two leaders that will be seeing the light of day for the first time. While Trump has never revealed the precise contents of these letters, he has spoken about them at length, citing them as evidence of a strong relationship between the two.

This is not Woodward's journalistic attack against the White House. Woodward is most famously known for exposing the Nixon Watergate scandal for the Washington Post, along with Carl Bernstein. Woodward's previously published novel about the Trump administration is called 'Fear: Trump in the White House,' was released in September 2018, almost exactly two years before the release of 'Rage.' 'Fear' was based on hundreds of hours of interviews with members of the Trump administration, making the bestseller list and detailing scenes such as senior aides removing papers from Trump's desk in case he decided to pursue more extreme policies they outlined.

Trump and Jong-Un's relationship began with a rather rocky start, with a Twitter war in which Trump called the North Korean leader "little rocket man" as a reference to controversial missiles programs in North Korea. Trump issued veiled threats against North Korea very publically, implying nuclear war with tweets such as this one, which said, "North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!"

The relationship has since grown a lot closer, however, with the correspondence between Trump and Jong-Un being labelled as "love letters," According to the Amazon store page, "President Trump has said publicly that Woodward has interviewed him. What is not known is that Trump provided Woodward a window into his mind through a series of exclusive interviews. 'Rage' shows how Trump’s responses to the crises of 2020 were rooted in the instincts, habits and style he developed during his first three years as president. 'Rage' draws from hundreds of hours of interviews with firsthand witnesses, as well as participants’ notes, emails, diaries, calendars and confidential documents."

'Rage' releases on September 15, 2020, wherever books are sold.
