Donald Trump Jr meets 15-year-old MAGA supporter assaulted in New Hampshire primary: ‘My family has your back’
Donald Trump Jr. called up a 15-year-old Trump supporter who was allegedly assaulted during the New Hampshire primary this week.
The 42-year-old called the teenager to tell him the Trump family has "your back". Trump Jr. took to Twitter to share, "So it turns out that I actually met the 15-year-old victim shortly before he was attacked by a sick leftist. I asked an aide to find his number and just got off the phone with him and his mother. I thanked them for being such strong supporters. My family has your back Nate! #MAGA."
Trump Jr. had reached out to the teenager, Nate Campbell, on Thursday night after Fox News had first reported the incident. The Windham Police Department arrested 34-year-old Patrick Bradley and charged him with simple assault and disorderly conduct.
The suspect got in the face of Campbell who was sporting a 'Make America Great Again' hat and was volunteering at the Trump tent at the Windham High School. The authorities revealed the incident took place on Tuesday when Bradley exited the voting location inside the school and was walking by a Trump campaign tent that was occupied by many supporters.
While passing by the tent, the police said, Bradley slapped the teenager across the face and then assaulted two other adults who had tried to intervene. He was also accused of throwing Trump campaign signs and attempting to knock over the campaign tent.
The teen's mother, Cathy Campbell, told Fox News, "My son stayed home from school on Tuesday for a doctor's appointment and we drove by the high school to go vote. When we got there, we saw Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle, and my son was over the moon. My son is the most patriotic kid you’d ever meet in your life."
Since the incident took place, Campbell said that her son is "pretty traumatized."
