Trump Jr called a hypocrite for saying Biden can't debate Barron: 'Thought you can't bring kids into politics'

The Trump family had earlier slammed professor Pamela Karlan for using Baron's name to mock the president, saying he is a minor and should not be dragged into politics

As the election draws nearer, digs at political rivals are only going to become more and more frequent. However, generally speaking, it's bad form to bring a rival's family into any political attack one might make. The Trump family, however, can't help but bring the Trump name itself into the conversation and the internet is starting to feel that this is perhaps a little hypocritical.

In response to a 'Daily Caller' article that asks "Is Joe Biden Capable Of Debating Donald Trump?" Donald Trump Jr posted a tweet saying, "In all fairness, Joe Biden is not capable of debating Barron Trump let alone Donald Trump." Twitter users jumped on this tweet and mocked the Trump family's outrage at Barron's name being used by Stanford University professor Pamela Karlan, who had said, "I’ll just give you one example that shows you the difference between him and a king, which is the Constitution says there can be no titles of nobility, so while the president can name his son Barron, he cannot make him a baron."

At the time, there was a lot of backlash to that statement, with Melania Trump herself writing, "A minor child deserves privacy and should be kept out of politics. Pamela Karlan, you should be ashamed of your very angry and obviously biased public pandering, and using a child to do it."

Now that Trump Jr has brought Barron up in a tweet, the internet is piling on him for bringing Trump's son up. "Please don't drag Non-Disappointing Son into this, Disappointing Son," writes one user. "I thought we weren’t supposed to talk about the president’s minor child in public discourse like this. (We shouldn’t.)" points out this tweet. "We only use Barron when it suits our narrative," wrote one user, including an image that throws Trump Jr's own words back at him, where he said, "How vile of a person do you have to be to attack a 13 year old on National TV for laughs?" and added, "Grotesque."

"Really Junior?? Thought it was 'OFF LIMITS' to bring 'the Kids' into POLITICS. Man, The Trump Crime Family is filled with HYPOCRITES. SICKENING," raged a tweet. "If Biden debates Barron, he will spend more time with the kid than his dad has all year," writes another. "Barron could write a better tweet than you," says a third.

All in all, most of the replies to Trump Jr believe that he should keep his tweets to himself, like this one user, who wrote, "It is dastardly for you to dream Barron a minor child, into the political fray. You owe him and his parents an apology and should refrain from any further political commentary as penance."
