Donald Trump Jr claims Joe Biden’s brain aneurysms and surgery make him ‘forget where he is on a daily basis’

“I don’t mean to make light of mental decline," Trump Jr. said. “These are really serious things, but we’re going to give this guy the nuclear football? He’s going to get the codes?"

President Donald Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., on Thursday, September 3, claimed that his father's political rival, former Vice President Joe Biden's brain aneurysms and related brain surgery were linked to his impaired cognition. Trump Jr. made the comment while appearing on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

Trump Jr., during the segment, referred to his book titled 'Liberal Privilege: Joe Biden And The Democrats’ Defense Of The Indefensible' and claimed: "I quote Joe Biden’s own doctor [in my book]. Americans don’t know that this guy’s had two brain aneurysms requiring brain surgery. The chances of being normal after one of those things are not very high. After two, it’s almost impossible."

The Republican added: Biden "forgets where he is on a daily basis” and often “can’t remember the point that he’s trying to make so often like we saw in the debate when remember I’m oh, you know the thing and I all I don’t want to take any more. If the average American knew that the guy who wants the nuclear football actually has a real cause and effect relationship with mental deficiency, you’d start questioning it. If Donald Trump made a Joe Bidenism, the media would be all over it every day. This guy does it and they’re like, ‘Oh, he’s brilliant.'”

“I don’t mean to make light of mental decline," Trump Jr. continued during the statement. “A lot of people know people that deal with these issues. These are really serious things, but we’re going to give this guy the nuclear football? He’s going to get the codes? We’re going to trust him with your 401k and the world’s largest economy and overseeing democracy? Joe Biden is simply the camouflage to get those people a position of power."

The president's son's statement comes days after #TrumpStroke began trending on social media as many speculated that the Republican had suffered a stroke after a report emerged on Monday, August 31, of President Trump's unplanned visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center last year. The rumors began after a new book claimed that Vice President Mike Pence was put on standby to assume the presidency when Trump went to the medical facility.

Trump's sudden visit to the hospital last year, on November 16, 2019, had sparked health concerns but the White House rubbished speculations at the time stating that the president had visited Walter Reed for a quick examination. However, with recent revelations in the book, there are speculations that Trump had a stroke last year. The book, written by New York Times reporter Michael S Schmidt — ‘Donald Trump V. The United States: Inside the Struggle to Stop a President’ — claims that the White House wanted Pence "on standby to take over the powers of the presidency temporarily if Trump had to undergo a procedure that would have required him to be anesthetized."

Trump, in June, had sparked health concerns after videos emerged of him gingerly walking down a ramp at the US Military Academy at West Point and later having trouble raising a glass of water to his mouth during a speech at West Point. Trump, 74, the oldest a president has been in his first term, rubbished the rumors during his Tulsa rally on June 20, and gave a long-winded account of his strange behavior of why he was shuffling down a ramp and struggled to hold a glass of water with one hand. The incident had led to speculations of the president having Parkinson's.
