NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: MSNBC host Alicia Menendez was joined by former Watergate prosecutor Jill Wine-Banks and MSNBC political analyst David Jolly to discuss former President Donald Trump’s Thanksgiving message on Truth Social.

Wine-Banks weighed on the gag order and claimed “it should be put back in place, and enforced,” while Jolly elaborated a little on the Thanksgiving message.

As the discussion continued, the internet weighed in on the same as some labeled Trump a “bratty child.”

David Jolly sheds light on Donald Trump's ‘unhinged screed’

On MSNBC’s ‘American Voices’ Jill Wine-Banks shed some light on Donald Trump’s gag order amid the New York civil fraud trial.

“I think there was already enough evidence of what he does when there is in a gag order, and how he confuses his rights as a criminal defendant with his rights as a political candidate,” said Wine-Banks.

She further elaborated, “It's not unusual for criminal defendants to have limitations on their speech put in place, especially when there is a nexus between their speech and threats to the people they are speaking about. And that is what is happening in New York.”

After Wine-Banks laid out her points on the gag order, and how it “should be put back in place, and enforced.”

Alicia Menendez moved on to converse with David Jolly regarding Trump’s Thanksgiving message.

Menendez said, “Trump posted his first Thanksgiving message online at 2.00 am, apparently turkey has the opposite effect on him than it does on the rest of us, mostly a rant about the judge, the attorney general, what is that signal to you about his re-election campaign that this is where he is spending his time, his effort, his energy.”

To this, Jolly responded, “This was an unhinged screed against prosecutors and judges and it gives you a little bit in terms of Donald Trump’s state of mind.”

He continued, “And we continue to step closer and closer to Donald Trump possibly losing his own liberty either because of pretrial behaviors and attacks on prosecutors and judges or a conviction, and we have not seen what Donald Trump ultimately does in that environment.”

Jolly also added that he does not believe that Trump has a lead over Biden “like some of the polls show.”

He explained that this was because, "when people see his behavior, they are reminded he is an erratic, unstable, unhinged man, who should not return to the White House."

Donald Trump slammed after MSNBC's coverage of his Thanksgiving message

After a discussion of Donald Trump’s Thanksgiving message and the gag order, the internet expressed their frustration with the same.

One user wrote, “Trump has a child's mind calling people names! We need an adult as a President, not a bratty child!”

Another user said, “It's this simple, if Trump becomes president again this country is doomed.”

“The greatest honor I’ve had as an American was helping to vote Trump out of office,” wrote one person and another commented, “No other would be allowed to get away with the nonsense Trump does. It is just not fair that he walks free after all these threats.”

The former president continued to face backlash, as one person wrote, “Trump is an extreme example of a defendant who keeps convicting himself because he can’t keep his mouth shut."

Another person said, “Trump's rhetoric and 2.00 am insane social media rants are a danger to American citizens. Why would reinstating a gag order be debatable? Ridiculous."
