Eric and Ivanka tweet to ask for prayers after Trump is taken to Walter Reed: 'He's a true warrior'
On October 2, US President Donald Trump managed to break the internet yet again when news broke out that he and his wife Melanie Trump had tested positive for coronavirus. He made the announcement in a tweet saying, "Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for Covid-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!"
After reports said that he was "struggling to breathe", Trump was airlifted to Walter Reed Medical Center. He was taken due to an "abundance of caution" after being struck down with coronavirus symptoms. The diagnosis comes just a month before the US election. While the couple has tested positive, the rest of the Trump family has tested negative for the virus.
After Trump was hospitalized, his son Eric Trump went online seeking prayers for his father. "@RealDonaldTrump is a true warrior. He will fight through this with the same strength and conviction that he uses to fight for America each and every day. I ask you to join me in praying for his recovery. I have never been more proud of someone and what they have had to endure," the 36-year-old said.

Trump's daughter Ivanka also took to social media to ask her father's followers to send prayers and good vibes their way. "You are a warrior and will beat this. I love you, dad," the 38-year-old wrote. She had also tweeted to that she was praying for the swift recovery of Trump and his wife Melania, who also tested positive. "As they fight this together, the President will continue to fight for the people of this great country."

Donald Trump had also taken to Twitter to update his followers with their condition. "Going well, I think! Thank you to all. LOVE!!!" According to reports, The White House said that Trump's visit of "a few days" to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center was precautionary and that he would continue to work from the hospital's presidential suite. "President Trump remains in good spirits, has mild symptoms, and has been working throughout the day," Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany had said in a statement.
On October 2, when the news broke out, White House officials reportedly said that they "have serious concerns about Trump's condition tonight." Sources even said that his "symptoms are worse than those of the first lady at this point." At the same time, the official told CNN that Trump is taking the matter "very seriously" and that the public shouldn't be worried about his health condition. According to reports, the White House said Trump had been injected with an experimental antibody cocktail earlier on by the White House physician.
After his hospitalization, Trump had tweeted a video of himself thanking "everybody for the tremendous support". "I'm going to Walter Reed hospital. I think I'm doing very well. But we're going to make sure things work out," he said. He added that Melania "is doing very well".
