North Carolina couple dumps their 'GAY' dog Fezco, Internet calls them 'ignorant morons'

The couple has been tagged 'sick' and 'absurd' for abandoning their canine simply because he humped another male dog

A couple branded their dog 'gay' and dropped him off at an animal shelter in North Carolina. Allegedly, their dog named Fezco humped another male canine. Fezco, a four to five-year-old dog of an unknown breed, has been dropped off at the Stanly County Animal Protective Services in Albemarle that falls about 40 mi east of Charlotte. 

Until this canine is adopted by a loving family, the shelter is asking for volunteers who would house him. The shelter noted that Fezco is equally friendly with other people and animals.

As per a post on ASPCA, mounting, thrusting (humping) and masturbation are normal behaviors exhibited by most dogs. Dogs masturbate in various ways. They mount and thrust against other animals, people and objects, such as wadded-up blankets, dog beds and toys. Sometimes, dogs just rub against people or objects (without mounting them), or they lick themselves. Puppies also hump their littermates and it is believed to prepare them for future sexual encounters.

ASPCA further noted that mounting or humping other animals may be a way to indicate social status or control. Moreover, Scientific American notes that homosexual behavior has been observed in over 1,500 animals species. PETA states same sex behavior has been recorded in elephants, giraffes, dolphins, penguins, Japanese monkeys, and lions.

As of March 20, Sunday morning, it is undetermined whether Fezco has been adopted. 

A social media user slammed the NC couple and said, "Absolutely ridiculous! These people evidently have never studied animal behavior. Its normal. Even female dogs do this to each other."

Another user said, "There's nothing wrong with Fezco, he's sweet and gorgeous and deserves so much better. The owners, tho. WTF is wrong with those people?" Referring to the Olympic events, this Twitter user said, "Glad it wasn't competing in womens sports." Another said, "FEZCO was Abandoned At Animal Shelter because ~~idiotic archaeic moronic troglodyte~~owners thought he was gay smh i just cant."

Lifestyle expert Mike Sington said, "Fezco was dumped at a North Carolina animal shelter for being gay. His owners ditched him after they saw Fezco humping another male dog. ASPCA: Mounting or thrusting is normal play behavior for pets. Scientific America: Homosexual behavior has been noted in 1,500 animal species."

Another added, "It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with sex. It's how they show dominance. My female has humped other dogs to show she's the dominant one." One furious social media user wrote, "Dog called Fezco dumped at shelter after it humped another male canine. OMG, ignorant morons, pathetic. Dogs often hump as a sign of dominance. They do not want to mate with your leg, for instance. 🤦‍♀️"
