Two 'friendly' pit bulls shot dead after viciously attacking owner, guest, and responding officer

Two pit bulls were shot and killed after they viciously attacked a homeowner, his guest, and officers who responded to the reports of the attack. The incident which unfolded on the morning of Thursday, December 27, in Indian Trail, about 15 miles southeast of Charlotte, North Carolina, left the guest with serious injuries to his face and head, and the other two needing treatment as well.
According to a press release by the Union County Sheriff's Office, the pit bull attack took place when the guest was visiting his friend's house in Indian Trail. The homeowner is said to have tried to stop the two dogs but was bitten on one of his arms himself in the process.
