SUVA, FIJI: 'Love Island USA' Season 2 star Johnny Middlebrooks seems to be allegedly trying to reconcile his relationship with Cely Vazquez in Peacock's new dating show 'Love Island Games'. When given a choice to pick his partner, he picked Cely as his second choice.

The contestants were given to pick two contestants as their potential partners. And they had to do this by kissing them while the opposite one was blindfolded.

Johnny went on to choose Imani Ayan as his first choice. He then kissed Cely while she was blindfolded. This shocked the viewers as well as the fans, knowing they had a history.

This made many wonder whether Johnny was looking forward to reconciling his relationship with Cely.

As Johnny kissed Cely, a fan called him out and said, "Why y’all let toxic Johnny kiss Cely."

Another slammed the star and wrotw, "It’s not just the fact that Johnny kissed Cely, it’s the WAY he kissed her like “you know who this belongs to” toxic ex energy."

An angry fan wrote, "Johnny is so toxic for that, why would he kiss cely."

Another wrotw, "This ending was so messy lmaooo why would Johnny kiss Cely."

"Oh my stars, Johnny kissing Imani was ridiculous hot but then he kissed Cely?!??! Is he here for her? Or is he playing games with her again?" one wondered.

Who did Cely Vazquez pair up with in 'Love Island Games'?

The first coupling of 'Love Island Games' has been revealed and it seems Johnny was not Cely's choice in the show. Instead of going after her ex, she chose to explore connection with Toby Aromolaran.

She paired up with Toby for the next round. When asked ahead of the pairing who Cely wants to look forward to matching within the show, she replied without any hesitation, "I'm kind of hoping it's Toby."

Toby was shocked by her boldness but was also mesmerized by it.

Why did 'Love Island Games' star Cely Vazquez and Johnny Middlebrooks split?

Cely and Johnny both ignited romance in 'Love Island USA' Season 2. However, they called it quits just after they left the villa.

In January 2021, Cely took to social media to reveal the reason for their split. She said that she is focusing on their personal journey. She wrote, "I wanted to share with you that Johnny and I are no longer together."

She then asked for some privacy and wrote, "Now it's simply time for each of us to focus on our own personal journey."

'Love Island' aired on November 1, 2023, at 9 pm ET on Peacock. The new episodes will drop 6 days a week.
