'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' Episode 5 Promo: Can Jun open up to Rara about his secret and his identity?
'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' Episode 4 saw how the moment Rara (Go Ara) said goodbye to Jun (Lee Jae-wook) on a rainy night before she left to go home, Jun had lost all color on his face. It was as if he had seen a ghost and his reaction also surprised Rara. He had told her not to leave and he seemed desperate. So despite the fact that Dr. Cha was waiting outside to pick Rara up, she seemed to have decided that Jun needs her more from the end of episode promo that was released. We understand that Jun holds a dark secret within him and that has to do with his best friend's death probably.
However, the confusion arises from the question of whether Jun is who he says he is -- which would then make him the son of a rich family or if he is the friend of the said boy. The previous episode has given us a hint that Jun's friend had died due to suspicious circumstances because a body washed up on the show and the identity card that was found directed the authorities to the woman who had hired a group of thugs to track her son down. We also saw these thugs follow the trail of Jun before. So all of it is interconnected and at this moment, Jun's guard is up. So the only person who might be able to get him to open up is none other than Rara.
Which is what she tries to do. She tells Jun that he can trust her, and what we see is Jun tell her not to bid him goodbye if she had to leave somewhere. This reminds him of an incident that he seems to be working hard to forget. The two of them are able to connect at a deeper level because both of them have lost something precious. Rara has lost her father, and Jun his best friend. So who better to understand their pain than each other? The promo also indicates that Jun is comforted just by Rara's presence as he watches her sleep and that is when we wonder if the two have romance written in their future.
Then, there is the fact that Rara seems to have been cheated by her father's secretary who has clearly lied about Rara's father's company going bankrupt, considering how he has been spending lavishly on cruise experiences. Since Rara has no business acumen, will Jun be able to help her figure out that end of things once the truth about his identity is revealed?
'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' will air on KBS2 on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Seoul, South Korea, and can be streamed on Netflix in the US.
