'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' Episode 13: Jun tells Rara that they should begin dating, but what about Dr Cha?
At the end of 'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' Episode 12 Jun (Lee Jae-wook) arrived at the church where Rara (Go Ara) and Dr. Cha had exchanged rings, and had taken her hand to run away. From the promo of the upcoming episode, it becomes clear that Rara's wedding to Dr. Cha was some kind of an elaborate hook to keep audiences guessing about what really took place in the six months since Rara left that letter for Jun. First, we see Jun take Rara to a beach where he tells her that she should just assume that the wedding did take place but with him and not someone else. Rara, of course, doesn't agree, but instead, she does agree to begin dating him officially.
That is when he becomes 20 years old officially we guess because he tells her how he cannot wait for months to go by before he can officially ask her out, exchange couple rings and do things that other couples get to do easily. Then there is the matter of watching out for Jun's mother and father, who still seem to believe that their son needs to be capable enough to take over the hospital one day. His interest in mathematics as a major was not welcome six months ago, and it may not be welcome now. We are guessing that this will add more conflict within their relationship.
Then there is also the matter of the girl who appeared at the end of the promo. She called out Jun's name just as he was picking up a ring, possibly for Rara. After all, he did want to exchange couple rings with her. This girl says, "Found you" right after calling his name out and the look of shock on Jun's face has us wondering if this is a girlfriend from the past and if she will become a rival for Rara. We hope not, because such a plotline would be too generic for a romantic show. We hope there is more to this young girl and we also hope to see the connection between the grandfather and Rara get revealed sooner.
With just two weeks left before the show concludes, we also wonder how the plotline of Rara's father's secretary cheating her out of money that belonged to her would play out. She may end up not being a pauper after all, and this development might help Jun's parents be more receptive to the idea of their son dating an older woman. We wonder how things will play out.
'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' will air on KBS2 on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Seoul, South Korea, and can be streamed on Netflix in the US.
