Days after DJ Envy earned flak for justifying 16-year-old Ma'Khia Bryant's shooting by a Columbus police officer, he appears to have reiterated a similar stance while talking to Dr Umar during his show 'The Breakfast Club'. A video clip from the radio show has gone viral where Envy can be heard nonchalantly dropping the 'C-word'.

As Dr Umar puts forward an elaborate argument against the brutality in Bryant's shooting, host DJ Envy can be heard saying, "I'm not gonna lie, I must be a (C-word), coz I don't agree with you on this." Envy's reaction has created a storm of controversy on social media, especially since he was blasted just days ago for his problematic stance.

Did DJ Envy justify Ma'Khia Bryant shooting again?

In an episode of 'The Breakfast Club' on April 23, Envy conversed with Charlamagne tha God where the two argued over Bryant's shooting. While the former called out the police brutality saying, "I refuse to believe that was the only way to handle that situation," host Envy refused to agree with him. "I mean, the cop got a call that said that, these women were jumping somebody. They hop out of the car and see a woman going at another woman with a knife. Yeah, maybe, if they would have shot her in the foot, or shot her in the leg, who's to say she still couldn't stab the young girl," he said, justifying the shooting incident that cost the life of the 16-year-old from Columbus, Ohio.

Envy continued to appear unfazed in his stance even as Charlamagne and the show's co-host seemed shocked by his answers. Envy even stated that he did not feel shooting the teenager four times was 'excessive'. A similar scenario took place at the recent episode featuring clinical psychologist Dr Umar. In the viral video clip, a visibly furious Dr Umar eloquently argued why the police chose to apprehend the teenager by fatally shooting her. In reply, Envy uttered the C-word while referring to himself and continued to exercise his justification of the shooting.

'Was really hoping he was joking'

Social media called out Envy for supporting an incident of alleged police brutality that claimed the life of a minor. "Just finished the interview. Was really hoping he was joking. They even asked him if that poor girl woulda been blasted if she were White and he flip-flopped avoiding giving a straight answer," tweeted one user about the interview with Dr Umar.

One asked, "Is DJ envy even Black?" Another wrote, "DJ Envy been a wasteman but nothing he's done is more waste than this." A third added, "He knows what he is." One angry user pointed out, "Every time a police shooting happens DJ envy corny ass always gotta remind everybody that his dad was a cop."
