LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Johnny Depp, who was widely celebrated for his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, lost it as a result of the lawsuit. Even though he prevailed in his legal battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard, there is very little likelihood that Disney will ask him to reprise his part, according to industry insiders.

“I would love to have him in the movie,” famed movie producer Jerry Bruckheimer told The Hollywood Reporter about Depp.“He’s a friend, a terrific actor, and it’s unfortunate the personal lives creep into everything we do,” he said. But as per the insiders, big Hollywood guns may sideline him for any roles despite his career taking a normal turn.

According to a "knowledgable film-industry player’" who talked to New York Post,  sees Depps' returning as a long shot, “I think he will have a career but I don’t see him being redeemed,” he said of the actor as per the outlet. “I think big-name people in Hollywood will steer clear of him," he further added.

This all is due to Johnny Depp‘s life turning upside down owning to his court trial with ex-wife Amber Heard who accused him of domestic violence.

The film industry insider made reference to Bruckheimer's statement that "Disney is the most scandal-averse of the studios because of their brand and theme parks," according to the film industry participant. Drawing a comparison between Kevin Spacey, Mel Gibson, and Johnny Depp, the industry player said, “There are different levels of shunning”. “Depp is not at the Kevin Spacey level. My guess is that he is more in the Mel Gibson range. The international audience will be happy to see him in things, and probably a lot of people in the United States as well. But I can tell you something about both of those guys [Depp and Gibson]. If you bring them up in the dominant studio world [as candidates to anchor a film], it is not a no, but it is a question: ‘Who else do you have?’”

After the whole debacle, Depp may be attempting to return to acting in films, but the industry players say he will advance in his profession, but not necessarily in Hollywood.

“He’ll continue to do movies financed in the international market, financed with foreign production companies. The deals will come from people who are third or fourth tier. They show up with a lot of money, and it all goes to the star. You saw that at the end of Bruce Willis’s career. You see that in terms of John Travolta,” the player said as per the outlets' report.

The insider also revealed that Depp hasn't been much in Hollywood but in Europe mostly in London. “There has been a lot of interest in Johnny and very warm receptions to different ideas.” In fact, the insider explained that a sense of normalcy is creeping back into Depp’s career.
