Did President-elect Joe Biden mock Donald Trump's 'MAGA'? His 'we just did' cap seems to be winning war of hats

President-elect Joe Biden appeared to troll President Donald Trump's 'Make America Great Again' hat with a cap that read, 'We Just Did.' The president-elect and his wife Dr. Jill Biden were seen celebrating their apparent victory in a photo shared on Twitter after several media outlets projected Biden as the winner of the presidential race, The Sun reported.

The doting couple was seen in the photo standing next to each other with the Delaware Democrat sporting a big smile on his face. The pair held up a sign reading, “Dr. and Vice President Biden live here” as Jill covered the word "vice". Meanwhile, Biden was wearing a dark baseball cap. According to The Sun, the white lettering on the cap reads, “We Just Did” with the number 46 in red.

Biden is set to be sworn into office as the 46th US president in January, unless the Trump camapign is able to build a convincing case on claims of alleged voter fraud and nullify the results of the election. While we cannot confirm what Biden's cap indicates, some on social media believe it could be a direct response to Trump's signature red hat emblazoned with the words, “Make America Great Again".

"This, in the lexicon of political call-and-response, as posted on Twitter by Dr Jill Biden, is what you call Peak Cap," writer Gus Silber wrote. "For fun, Biden should tweet some misspelled stuff in all caps at 4am and really s**t everyone up," comedian Tiernan Douieb added.

Biden has been projected as the winner of the 2020 race to the White House by several outlets. Meanwhile, Trump has strongly refused to concede defeat alleging large scale voter fraud had rigged the election against him. "Since when does the Lamestream Media call who our next president will be? We have all learned a lot in the last two weeks!" the president tweeted yesterday in defiance of the media.

There have been some calls from within the Republican Party itself for Trump to accept defeat, including former President George W Bush, who declared that the election had been “fundamentally fair”. "No matter how you voted, your vote counted. President Trump has the right to request recounts and pursue legal challenges, and any unresolved issues will be properly adjudicated," Bush said in a statement. "The American people can have confidence that this election was fundamentally fair, its integrity will be upheld, and its outcome is clear."

Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris are set to be sworn in as president and vice president at the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C. on January 20, 2021. The president's sons have called for a "manual recount" of the ballots alleging election software technology is fraught with errors. Meanwhile, First Lady Melania Trump has also urged her husband not to cower down. Tweeting on Sunday, November 8, Melania wrote: "The American people deserve fair elections. Every legal — not illegal — vote should be counted. We must protect our democracy with complete transparency."

That said, Trump can run again in 2024 if he eventually loses the office to Biden.
