Did Monica Garcia use Jen Shah to get on 'RHOSLC' Season 4? Bravo star reflects on their friendship
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: 'The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' Season 4 reunion brought Monica Garcia and other Bravo ladies together after the explosive Bermuda drama.
Monica Garcia was recently accused of using her boss Jen Shah to star on the Bravo show.
During the explosive reunion, Monica reflected on her friendship with Jen and noted that they were good friends.
The Bravo Show newbie further revealed that she started working for Jen when she was filming 'RHOSLC' Season 1 in 2020.
Monica characterized her relationship with Jen by saying, "I would describe it as I was her friend first and then working for her and the enemies, I guess."
She further explained, "She needed help at the time with, honestly, her life." However, Heather Gay presented evidence to suggest that Monica was merely leveraging her connection with Jen to secure a spot on the show.
Heather played Monica's call recording in which she said, "f*****g Kim Kardashian was a f******g assistant and look at that b***h now."
She added, "I can fully admit that the whole reason why I was an assistant and putting up s**t was that stepping stone as a learning experience."
Heather went on to assert that Monica wasn't solely assisting Jen; rather, she had a hidden agenda in taking on the role of her assistant.
However, when Bravo host Andy Cohen inquired about the validity of Heather's accusations, Monica refuted them, stating, "I really don't think I would ever get on the show, but why wouldn't I try to get on the show."
Monica clarified that she sent an email to Bravo producers and actively pursued casting opportunities to join the show.
How much did Jen Shah pay her former assistant Monica Garcia?
In the 'RHOSLC' Season 4 reunion, Monica Garcia asserted that she served as Jen Shah's assistant without compensation. Additionally, Monica disclosed the specific tasks and responsibilities she undertook for Jen.
The Bravo star revealed that she "would go and get her groceries," adding, "I would make sure that she was on time for her meetings and whatever."
When host Andy Cohen and other castmates questioned why Monica was working for Jen without payment, the reality star explained, "She was my friend, she needed help, it didn't start like that."
Monica wasn't just Jen's assistant and friend; she also played a pivotal role in exposing the scandal involving the Bravo show alum. Jen began her television career in 2020, and during the filming of Season 2 in March 2021, she was arrested for wire fraud.
Jen was sentenced to 78 months in prison with five years of supervised release after she pleaded guilty in 2022.
During the reunion, Monica disclosed that a friend in the Federal warned her about Jen and advised her to distance herself. As a result, she became an informant in Jen's case, ultimately exposing the Bravo alum.
Moreover, it has recently come to light that Monica was the mastermind behind Reality Von Tease, a social media account that played a role in exposing Jen.
Reportedly operated by Monica, her friend, and Heather Gay's hairdresser, Tenesha, along with four others, the Instagram handle was dedicated to unveiling information about former cast member Jen Shah and current housewives Heather, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, and Lisa Barlow.
Did Monica Garcia hack the security system to expose Jen Shah?
Following the revelation that Monica Garcia was the mastermind behind Reality Von Tease, various videos and photos of the reality star surfaced online.
Notably, a photo from Jen Shah's house recently emerged on the internet and was reshared by Lisa Barlow. The image seemed to be a screen capture from the security video that Monica purportedly hacked.
Lisa took to her Twitter and claimed, "This is the footage not videoed on a cell phone but by logging into a private security system to spy for months."
Nevertheless, Monica faced accusations of stalking Jen in an attempt to expose her which led to her arrest. In a video, Monica, with a t-shirt covering her head, mentioned, "I'm in disguise driving by Jen's house." She added, "Lowkey, I think I might have found my father’s actual descent."
'RHOSLC' Season 4 Reunion Part 2 will air on Tuesday, January 16 at 8 pm ET on Bravo.
