Did Kate Haralson violate Raya's policy? TikToker, 20, who matched with Matthew Perry removed from dating app
Kate Haralson, the 20-year-old woman who matched with ‘FRIENDS’ star Matthew Perry, 51, on Raya has reportedly been kicked off of the exclusive dating app. Raya is a private, membership-based, social network application that is primarily a dating app but also has features to promote professional networking for members of the entertainment industry.
The TikTok star revealed her “uncomfortable” experience with Perry, something that allegedly took place in May 2020 when Perry had briefly broken up with his present fiancée Molly Hurwitz. She shared video footage of her Facetime interaction with Perry from last year, captioning it, "When you match w Matthew Perry as a joke on a dating app and he facetimes you and plays 20 questions with you."

She also told PageSix: “A lot of people were saying I’m a bully and mean for posting this, and it made me feel kind of bad, but at the same time, I feel like a lot of guys in Hollywood are talking to all these young girls and it’s something that I think a lot of people should be aware of.”
Did Kate Haralson violate Raya's policy?
Haralson has been kicked off the elite dating app, she told Page Six on Friday, May 7. “I should have expected that would happen,” said Haralson. “I feel fine about it. I never really used it anymore anyways.” Raya’s “Removal of a member” policy on its website states: “Every member is expected to follow our simple rules of respect, trust, and privacy. There are plenty of places across the internet where an expectation of behavioral standards and respect for other users isn't required. That is not the case here.”
The policy further states: “You're not just a user. You're a member of a community. For the most part, everyone here appreciates that. In fact, at present, Raya only receives reports in about 1 out of 11,000 matches. For the few who might disregard community values by being disrespectful or mean, all members are encouraged to point this out and report those people. There is no room for that at Raya.”
It adds, “Raya removes former members who don't share these same community ideals. Furthermore, we reserve the right to suspend or remove any membership we no longer feel strengthens our community.”
As per Haralson, Perry suggested that they play 20 questions to get to know each other better. While she admitted that none of the questions were sexual in nature, she said that she felt “uncomfortable” at times. She also said that she had been upfront about her age from the start. Perry asked her if she always played with her hair so much, to which she responded, "I guess so".
Perry allegedly also suggested to her to get a Covid-19 test done and come over, though the pair never actually met in person. "I don’t think he minded that. It kind of felt weird talking to someone my dad’s age and it just felt not right, especially when he knew how young I was," Haralson told PageSix. She said that she did it for fun and considered the interaction innocent and harmless.
