Did Kamala Harris use teleprompter to slam Amy Coney Barrett during SCOTUS hearing? Internet calls her a 'puppet'

Kamala Harris appeared virtually for Senate's SCOTUS confirmation hearing and seemed to be reading her opening statement from a teleprompter

Vice Presidential nominee and Senator Kamala Harris made news on Monday, October 12, when people pointed out that she is reading from a teleprompter during Amy Coney Barrett's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

"Republicans finally realized that the Affordable Care Act is too popular to repeal in Congress. So now they are planning to bypass the will of the voters and have the Supreme Court do their dirty work,” Harris said during her opening statement at Barrett’s first day of SCOTUS confirmation hearings and once you follow the movement of her eyes, it appears like that she was reading it from a teleprompter. “This hearing has brought together more than 50 people to sit inside a room for hours while our nation faces a deadly airborne virus,” she added. “A clear majority of Americans want whomever wins this election to fill the seat. And my Republican colleagues note that, yes, they are deliberately defying the will of the people and their attempts to rollback the rights and protections provided under the Affordable Care Act," she stated. 

The Democratic vice presidential nominee appeared remotely over concerns that the hearing room did not meet precautionary Covid-19 protocols. 

As soon as the Netizens realized this, people started slamming her, as one Internet user wrote, "@KamalaHarris read her testimony from a teleprompter today. Another one criticized her and wrote, "Terrible reading off the teleprompter today...you were literally down the hall. Taking lessons from Hidin’ Biden I see. Also, major announcement from him today too...he’s running for the Senate! Congrats on who you chose to hitch your wagon to. You must be so proud!" Some called her a joke and wrote, "Kamala your a joke as those of us from CA know. Hiding today so you could use a teleprompter to deliver a campaign speech was pretty phony, and it’s content was even worse."

Some questioned, "How is it possible she needed a teleprompter for this brain dead condescending speech." While one suggested, "That was such a pathetic teleprompter speech you gave today during the hearing. Whoever wrote that should be fired along with you."
