Father devastated as the car he was travelling in knocks down and kills his 12-year-old daughter
John McLaren was a passenger in the vehicle when it struck his 12-year-old daughter on a road near her home in Motherwell. He was devastated after his child died of her injuries.
A 12-year-old girl was knocked down and killed when a car in which her father was travelling crashed into her on a road near their family residence. At around 4.30 pm, Tuesday, Abbie McLaren of Motherwell, was fatally hit by a car just moments after getting off a bus, Daily Mail reports.
Immediately after the crash, her father, John, ran over to the victim to try and help. When he realized who it was, he was shocked beyond belief. Speaking to the Daily Record, a witness said, "He just stood there completely frozen, he couldn't move or say a thing."
