Father pens emotional tribute to daughter who killed herself: 'I don't want her to be another statistic'

A devastated man whose daughter committed suicide leaving behind three young children has penned an emotional tribute to her, hoping to raise awareness on suicide and mental health after the tragedy.
Bill Gillet from Grafton, New South Wales, whose 25-year-old daughter Ebony committed suicide on January 24, wrote about his heartbreak on Australia Day along with a picture of his late daughter and two of her young children.
Gillet said Ebony left behind three "beautiful" children aged 9 years, 5 years and 18 months, and who will now have to grow up without their mother.
