Deport Tory Lanez: Petition for ban on rapper gets 5,000 signatures after Megan Thee Stallion shooting incident

Ever since American rapper Tory Lanez’s alleged violent attack on singer Megan Thee Stallion came to light, furious fans on social media have demanded that he be brought to justice. Providing more clarity on what went exactly went down between her and Lanez, Megan went live on Instagram recently, pouring her heart out about allegedly getting shot on both her feet by Lanez. She further stated in her video that she wasn’t “protecting” anyone, but trying to process the shocking incident reportedly that occurred weeks ago. 

The ‘Savage’ singer’s story left her fans further devastated, who decided to start a petition demanding Lanez be deported back to Canada. The petition reads, “Deport Tory Lanez (Daystar Peterson) back to Canada and ban him from coming to America FOREVER. This little 5’3 man with a big ego has contributed nothing to the American Economy, and promotes violence and violence against women. Furthermore, he should be banned from the United States FOREVER for intentionally trying to harm Megan the Stallion. SEND HIM BACK TO CANADA ASAP!”

The online petition has already received over 5,000 signatures with 7,500 set as its goal. More and more people are adding their signatures to the petition every passing minute and it seems like its only a matter of time before it meets the target. 

Meanwhile, many are seen urging Twitter users to extend their support to the petition and make sure Lanez is sent back to Canada owing to his ill-treatment of Megan and the possible threat he poses to others. While one user wrote, “Send @torylanez back to Canada! We don’t want you here! Department of Homeland Security: Deport Tory Lanez - Sign the Petition!” another added, “LOLOLOL they started a petition to deport Tory Lanez send that mf back in the closet to Narnia. stupid a*s b**ch.”

When few of Lanez’s fans came to his defense saying he “doesn’t deserve to be deported”, one Internet user explained, “If you’re mad that there’s a petition to deport Tory Lanez for shooting Megan you clearly don’t know anything about immigration law. If you’re not a citizen and you commit a crime it jeopardizes your status in the country. It’s that simple guys.”
