"It just devastated me": Dennis Quaid reveals the pain he felt when his 'Parent Trap' co-star Natasha Richardson died
Eleven years after the release of the movie, Richardson reportedly hit her head during a ski lesson in Montreal, Canada and later died aged 45.

Natasha Richardson was apparently the bright light that shone on the sets of 'The Parent Trap' back when it was getting filmed in 1998, or so thinks her co-star Dennis Quaid. “Now you hit my heart. She was such a beautiful person, such a beautiful, beautiful person. Just none of that, that actor stuff, prima donna stuff,” the actor told Us Weekly.
He added, “Someone easy to work with and such a great sense of humor.” Quaid and Richardson played the characters of Elizabeth James and Nick Parker in the beloved remake, which also starred a young and scandal-free Lindsay Lohan.
