'The Late Late Show with James Corden': Demi Moore blames her parents' decision-making skills for her troubled childhood
Demi Moore landed herself on the New York Times' bestsellers list with her memoir: 'Inside Out'. The actress wrote down some of the most shocking revelations and gave the readers an honest look into her life thorugh her book.
Appearing on 'The Late Late Night Show With James Corden', the actress gave an insight into the feelings she went through when she first decided to write a memoir. Moore reflected that she wanted the book to be a piece that would detail the smallest of things of her life for people to read. While she wasn't a fan of putting her life out there for people to read, she realized that it had to be done if she wanted the book to be real.
"It was terrifying," she said of her experience writing. "Same time, I thought what is the point of doing it if it is not real. It is not a celebrity story, it is a human story." Moore added that she wanted people to know that she was just like everyone else and went through the same emotions as any other person would have. "I wanted to write everything. The good, the bad, the everything and hopefully influence someone," she said. Moore's memoir also details the problems she faced as a child. The actress revealed that there were quite a lot of times when she chose to disobey and acted like a rebel.
Moore believes that the reason for this were her parents and how they chose to discipline her. "I would say it was lack of parenting decision making," Moore said. "I used to take out the car and I just had to accept that it was my mistake and they thought it was a win-win situation."
Among these things, Moore also spoke about her celebrity status, her family, and her relationship with ex-Ashton Kutcher. Moore opened up about her battle with alcohol addiction and how Kutcher would often humiliate her by posting her pictures online.
While Kutcher hasn't commented on these allegations, Moore seems far from sorry about her tell-all book. Baring her heart onto the papers the actress has tried to represent her life through words.
