Netflix 'Delhi Crimes': The true story of the brutal gang rape that shook India to its core

In a race to find the best script that touches upon the nightmares that surround reality, Netflix has won the game once again. Netflix has recently acquired the rights to showcase a seven-part series whose plot will be based on the 2012 Delhi gang rape, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The series will revolve around the real-life investigation that took place during the event which also caused national outrage in India at the time.
The incident that shook the country took place on December 16, 2012. The victim was a 23-year-old woman, Jyoti Singh Pandey, who was accompanied by her friend Awindra Pratap Pandey. The pair was returning home from watching a movie when the incident took place. The pair chose to board an off-duty charter bus which already had six others on it, including the driver.
