LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Wes Anderson has created his own brand over the years. His quirky comedy and picture-perfect frames have made the auteur one of the era's favorites, and several of his works, including 'Moonrise Kingdom' and 'The Grand Budapest Hotel', have enjoyed a cult following ever since their release. After 2021's 'The French Dispatch', the master director is back with a new movie, 'Asteroid City'. The film's trailer is out and has already won over his ardent fan base.

'Asteroid City' is written by Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola. The movie comes with a stellar cast that includes Tom Hanks, Margot Robbie, Scarlett Johansson, Willem Dafoe, Steve Carell, Jeff Goldblum, Edward Norton, Bryan Cranston, Tilda Swinton, Hong Chau, Maya Hawke, Hong Chau, Jason Schwartzman, Jeffrey Wright, Liev Schreiber, Hope Davis, Hope Davis, Sophia Lillis, Adrien Brody, Stephen Park, Rupert Friend, Matt Dillon, Tony Revolori and Jake Ryan.

The trailer for 'Asteroid City' promises everything one would expect from Wes Anderson, from wonderfully eccentric characters to a lavish color palette. The official logline of the movie reads, "ASTEROID CITY takes place in a fictional American desert town circa 1955. Synopsis: The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events."



 

'New color tones unlocked'

The trailer sent movie lovers into a frenzy. An excited fan tweeted, "IT'S THE BEST PICTURE I SEE HERE". Another wrote, "One of the wes anderson movie of all time." Admiring the frames, someone wrote, "OMG OMG OMG NEW COLOR TONES UNLOCKED".



 



 



 

'That's cinema right there'

An fervent fan of the director wrote, "THERE IS NO GREATER FEELING THAN WATCHING A WES ANDERSON MOVIE!!!!!" Another fan gushed, "Wes Anderson’s photography and grading is immediately identifiable. Also, he loves his recurring cast. He’s found a formula that works for him and sticks with it. If it ain’t broke and all that." A third added, "Now that's cinema right there and that's definitely Wes Anderson film." Meanwhile, some wondered about the missing faces in the star-studded trailer. "Okay where’s Bryan Cranston and Margot Robbie and Jeff Goldblum and Willam Dafoe," a tweet read.



 



 



 



 

'Asteroid City' is set to release exclusively in theaters on June 16, 2023.
