Spoilers for ‘Debris’ Episode 4
NBC’s latest sci-fi thriller, ‘Debris’, is turning out to be another success for the network and continues to enthrall the viewers with captivating content. The first three episodes kept the viewers at the edge of their seats and gave some breathtaking sequences. One of the most intriguing things about the show is the way they are trying to move ahead in solving the mystery about the alien wreckage. However, the mystery behind George Jones’ survival is something that everyone wants to know about, especially Finola Jones (Riann Steele).
The show’s latest episode also talks about the effect ‘Debris’ is having on the atmosphere and humankind. It seems to have created a weird kind of rainstorm that has enabled humans to stay alive even without breathing oxygen. Whosoever comes in contact with the rainstorm feels a massive change in their internal structure of the body. That’s why Agent Bryan (Jonathan Tucker) and Finola are wearing spacesuits to meet those who are trapped inside a farm.

Both agents take the blood samples of people trapped inside and find that hemoglobin has completely been eradicated from their blood. Meanwhile, they also find that chlorine is present inside their body and are now leading a life in a world that supports life with chlorine respiration.
In between all the chaos, Finola gets a call from her boss from the UK and she finally gives her the news about her father’s survival. She finds it hard to believe that he is alive and says she was present in the morgue after his death. However, she is shocked to know that Bryan also knows about and the CIA is also tracking the whereabouts of her father who has been taken away by the criminal group, Influx.
To make her believe what she said was right, Finola’s boss sends her a set of photos that shows her father traveling in a car.
The scene is everything that people would have wanted to see. Riann’s expressions in the scene completely are enough to make you realize how hard it is for her to believe that her father is still alive. Riann’s character has always been close to her father and shares a special bond with him. The ongoing ‘Debris’ case is really to Finola’s heart because her father was one of the most important parts of the entire investigation.
Differences have started to appear between Bryan and Finola as the team tries to save the civilians. They work on an idea and bring ‘Debris #489’ into the mix. The particular part of the alien wreckage was being used to test its effects on humans. The govt. was also going to use advanced technology on cancer patients.
But, there’s a catch if they use it on them, they are not sure when they will come back to their senses. Meanwhile, a relative of the family trapped inside the farm has reached the spot and wants to know the truth. At first, they don’t tell him anything, but Finola feels that he needs to know about his family.
In the end, we see the team using the experiment on the people and everyone is now trapped inside something that has been created by the alien wreckage.
The best thing about the episode is that it is filled with emotions. Whether it was Finola getting to know about her father or the man seeing his family for the first time since the rainstorm covered the farm, it was all heart-touching.
The series is truly going to go a different way after what happened in the episode, entitled ‘In Universe’. The relationship between Bryan and Finola is surely going to be messed up. But, it will be interesting to know what Bryan does to fix it.
‘Debris’ returns to NBC with episode 5 on Monday at 10 pm ET.
