Why is Dean Cain the most disliked Superman? Internet roasts him as 'the worst Man of Steel ever'

Despite being part of the Deborah Joy LeVine-helmed series for four seasons, Cain was never really accepted by the world as Superman

No one, literally, no one would want to be in actor Dean Cain's shoes right now. Not even himself. A rough 95% of the 9000 tweets on Twitter were all about roasting him for being a bad actor. With enough 'Man of Steel' news going on, Cain, who played Clark Kent/ Superman in 'Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman', was trending for an old episode of 'A Different World'. In addition to being slammed for being racist, he was also dubbed the "worst Superman ever".

Coming back to Cain, his stint as a superhero in 'Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman' may have not necessarily put him in the cursed Superman actors' list, but despite being part of the Deborah Joy LeVine-helmed series for four seasons, Cain was never really accepted by the world as Superman. That said, the series did quite well. It currently sits with an 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with critics praising the themes of relationship and romance between Lois and Clark in the series. And for a '90s show, while Cain slipped into his cape and spandex suit pretty seamlessly, he never could win over the audience who set the bar pretty high when it came to playing the iconic DC superhero. Add to this, the whistleblower saga where he misidentified a former Obama staffer as the Ukraine whistleblower. Fans who already hated Cain, hated him a lot more after this incident. Minus his real-life woes, the biggest complaint fans had was that Cain was never a man with a single Superman trait.

In a recent piece of news, Cain expressed interest in 'Lois & Clark' revival. And despite the hit it was back in the day, fans were not too optimistic of a reboot now. The reactions on Twitter saw there was absolutely all love lost. "Is Dean Cain truly any generation’s Superman? I kinda just skip from Reeves to friggin’ Smallville and Brandon Routh to Cavill," a fan remarked. "There’s Bizzaro world’s Superman and then there’s Earth Shit’s Dean Cain," another said. "Please never put on that Superman cape again Dean Cain!" read one of the tweets.

"Dean Cain is NOT Henry Cavill, that's for damn sure..." a fan wrote. "I see Dean Cain is trending for some reason, so I will use my energy to remind everyone that there is only one true Superman of our time, and it was Christopher Reeve," another tweeted. "I don't ask or expect Superman actors to actually uphold some particular outstanding moral standard in real life — that'd be ridiculous, it's a gig — but it does suck that Dean Cain got to be a generation's Superman before very publicly turning out to be a complete piece of s**t," a fan opined. "I don't know why Dean Cain is trending but here's a reminder that Christopher Reeve is the only Superman," a fan said. "Dean Cain is literally the worst thing that has ever happened to Superman. He’s literally one of the biggest pieces of s**t I’ve ever seen and I can’t believe he played one of the most humble/loving characters in all of fiction. F**k him and his racist a**," a fan tweet read. "Dean Cain can't really be considered in any best Superman discussion anymore. His beliefs are the antithesis of everything Superman stands for. Thank God it doesn't seem like any of the other actors are MAGA," a fan explained.

To end with here's a troll tweet: "It kinda bugs me how Dean Cain's hair as Clark is pretty perfect for Superman, but his hair as Superman f*****g sucks."
