It's safe to say that Southern Wind skipper Steve Harley Davidson isn't a favorite on 'Deadliest Catch'. However, in Episode 17 of the show, he seemed to have taken fans by surprise as he made a move that was not 'scummy', as one fan noted. He didn't cheat for once. Nevertheless, he still earned himself the usual amount of flak from fans.

In the episode titled 'Danger Close', we were witness to the anger of the Bering Sea again. There were a different amount of complications, as seawater destroyed hydraulic motors and there was engine failure. Meanwhile, Harley made a comeback and got into an argument with his crew members over his fishing strategy and surprisingly actually managed to find some crab in the end. A fan noted, 'a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally'. Harsh.

Fans weren't happy to see Harley, that's the long and short of it. "Wait, Harley making a move that is not in some way scummy? Okay what dimension am I in? #DeadliestCatch," a fan wrote.

Harley even took a rough hit. "The crab gods don't want you here, Harley. That hit was nasty. #DeadliestCatch," a fan tweeted.

"Did we just witness the first segment in history with Harley and he didn't cheat? #DeadliestCatch," another wrote.

"Dude...if Harley even thinks about honing in on @McManus_Casey& @JoshHarrisDCgrounds I will fly to Alaska and throw his ass on an iceberg somewhere @DeadliestCatch #deadliestcatch," tweeted a fan.

Fans have been furious with the skipper since he pulled some questionable moves during the first half of the season and were livid after he threatened the young skippers who outwitted him in a deal that was struck. They have accused him of leeching off others before and said that he shouldn't call himself a fisherman. In the previous episode where he was present, viewers demanded that he shouldn't be on the show and that he should be 'cut loose', as he seems to be there only for laughs.

It was a grim episode, but everyone pulled through in the end and enjoyed some crab in the end. 'Deadliest Catch' airs on Discovery, 8 pm, Tuesdays.
