Spoilers for 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 Episode 14 'The One Where We're Trapped On TV'

Astra Logue (Olivia Swann) is by far one of the most complex characters we have seen on 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow'. Starting as a villain and moving to a more anti-heroic role, she's had quite the journey since the beginning of Season 5 but Episode 14 finally brings her character arc to a close.

In many ways, Astra has always been a child. Sure, she may have grown up in Hell and yes, she can scare the pants off most people she meets, but deep down, she's always been that scared little girl from Newcastle desperately trying to find her mother. But in 'The One Where We're Trapped On TV', Astra finally gets what she always wanted. Her mother Natalie Logue (Alice Hunter) is alive and well, albeit a character on the 'Downton Abbey' parody 'Highcastle Abbey'.

In the episode, Astra and John Constantine (Matt Ryan) choose to stay behind on the show despite figuring out their true identities because Astra wants to be able to live out her life with her mother but Natalie has other ideas. Natalie gives Astra her blessing to leave Highcastle Abbey and find her own path in life, giving Astra the push she needed to finally move on from her grief.

The Fates tried to get Astra to give up on her desire to save her mother once before but they thought pain would be the way to achieve their goals. Here, Astra has finally managed to find the closure she needed in a wholesome way and now she can finally move on with her life. Maybe when all of this is over, Natalie might get resurrected for real. Maybe Astra will get to have a normal life and a happy ending. What's important, however, is that she has finally reached a place where she can be happy with whatever comes her way, without being an obsessive demoness about it all and if that's not growth, what is?

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 airs Tuesdays at 9 pm ET on The CW.
