Spoilers for 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 Episode 11 'Ship Broken'

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 is rising to new heights of coolness and hilarity but there's still a lot of mystery in the season's story. Ever since she saw the true form the Fate Atropos (Joanna Vanderham), Sara Lance / White Canary (Caity Lotz) has been suffering strange visions of the future and now in Episode 11, her powers have gotten weirder than ever.

In 'Ship Broken', it's revealed that Sara is now blind even though there appears to be nothing wrong with her eyes. She's still a badass fighter and perfectly capable of functioning without her eyesight but her strange new powers raise some interesting possibilities.

In the episode, Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) suggests that because of Sara's status as the Paragon of Destiny and the fact that she was irradiated with godly energy, she may have traded her conventional sight for the power to see the future. This does appear to be the case but that also means that she may be able to perceive the measure of someone's life across time, a power that is held by the Fate Lachesis (Sarah Strange).

The episode also revealed that Charlie cannot use the Loom of Fate effectively on her own because the process requires the Three Fates working in unison. So it is a possibility that Sara might end up filling in for Lachesis and helping Charlie weave Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) and the mother of Astra Logue (Olivia Swann) back to life.

The Legends would still need a third person to fill in for Atropos and since Lachesis has revealed earlier that she has been training Astra to become a Fate, perhaps she might be the one to fill the role. After all, Astra's perfectly comfortable with death and killing people is basically Atropos's whole job.

Alternatively, there's always the chance that Astra will betray the Legends, in which case Zari Tarazi (Tala Ashe) could be the one who becomes the Third Fate. Though she hasn't shown any signs of godly powers or training besides her amulet and whatever skills she has inherited from the previous timeline version of herself, it makes sense for her story arc and would be a great way to help her character reach the level of growth that she requires.

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' airs Tuesdays at 9 pm ET, exclusively on The CW.
