The married couple who were murdered in Daytona Beach are closer than ever to receiving justice as a suspect was arrested after being identified by the woman who served him lunch earlier on the day. The woman identified Jean Macean, 32, from the pictures of a 'person of interest' the police and authorities released.

Macean is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He is responsible for the deaths of Terry Aultman, 48 and Brenda Aultman, 55, whose bodies were found on the lawn of a Daytona Beach house in Florida at 2 am on March 6.

Macean was arrested in Orlando on March 10. He was transferred to Volusia County on Tuesday, March 15 and was asked to appear in court the following day. He was held without bail and a public defender was appointed.

Valerie Court contacted officials on March 8, two days after the murder. This was also when the officials released images of the suspect. The initial images of this 'person of interest' proved to be beneficial as Valerie told the cops that it was the man she served lunch to at the local Johnny Rockets.

In an interview with WESH, she said the man she served lunch to paid the bill with a non-standard credit card. She said, "It didn't have his name on it. It said 'my temporary pay card' but he did sign it and initialed it JM."

The receipt which Court shared with the station was stamped from March 5 at 3:36 pm. It showed the man paid $15.42 for his lunch using a MasterCard. On the tip, he wrote "$1.00." This would have amounted to a 6.5% tip but the total was listed as $16. It turns out Court received a meager 58 cent tip or a 3.75%. She said, "I thought maybe he wanted to be left alone because he was short-worded with me so I just kept his tea filled up."

Officials say they have never really witnessed a murder like this one before. The couple's throats were slashed while returning from Bike Week festivities. They had just moved to the beach residential area six months ago.
