‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Who is Paulina? Jackée Harry's character might wreck Eli and Lani's life

Shedding light on her character on ‘The Today Show’, Harry told host Hoda Kotb, ‘Oh, she's FABulous!’

A new character will soon enter the world of ‘Days Of Our Lives’. If you've watched ‘227’ and ‘Sister, Sister’, you'd be intrigued to know that Jackée Harry will soon be a part of the soap opera — that first debuted in 1965 — and will play a “fabulous woman”. Wondering who will she play and how will she be connected to the other characters? Here's all the scoop.  

Shedding light on her character on Tuesday's ‘The Today Show’, she told host Hoda Kotb, “Oh, she's Fabulous,” adding, “You know I'm playing a fabulous woman, you know that. But I don't want to give away the storyline because it's a brand new storyline [featuring] African Americans. They have been at the forefront of hiring minorities, they have a lot of diversity on ‘Days Of Our Lives’. I don't want to give away the storyline but I have a daughter and you know there ain't nothing but trouble in River City.”

According to NBC, Harry will play a successful and outspoken woman named Paulina, who comes to Salem to reconnect with her family, and her character will be seen sometime in March 2021. Interestingly, she will be connected to the Carver family and her main goal in Salem will be to reconnect with her family. If spoilers are to be believed, Paulina might be Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) sister who was never mentioned before.

It's quite interesting that Abe isn't getting a new romantic interest but a relative. Could Paulina add some spice to their lives as the lesser-known “fun” relative? Reportedly, Harry's character might have a daughter and that could bring in a new star on the show. Rumors are rife that Paulina’s daughter could be competition for Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) and will plot to make Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) her man.

Now, we all know there is trouble in Eli and Lani's paradise, don't we? Once their twin babies arrive, the two might have some issues and that could lead to someone new in their life. So should we expect a love triangle soon? Only time will tell.

As for now, it's safe to say that true “Elani” love might win in the end but there are many bumps in the road for sure. Fans are excited. “Wow, Days of Our Lives is getting such a super addition to their family!” one tweet read and another said, “Any character of @JackeeHarry would be amazing with @JreynoldsJames. I first saw her as Lily on Another World when I was a kid. #days #dool you better treat her right. And @carlivatiron give her a storyline worth of her.” A third posted, “I was thinking the same thing. She’s gonna loosen up that Carver man and become the First Lady of Salem. Dr Marlena Evans .. eat your heart out. Can’t wait.”
