David Bolno: Body of woman found in hotel room of music exec who worked with Drake and Post Malone
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: An elite Hollywood business manager came under investigation after a woman who wanted to become a musician was found dead in his hotel room. However, cops say that David Bolno is not a person of interest in the death of Laura Lozano. The 34-year-old woman was found dead in the bathtub of an ocean-view suite in the residential towers of the Setai Hotel in Miami Beach on March 30.
TMZ citing a Miami Beach PD report stated that Bolno left the hotel room at around 4.35 early morning of March 30 while Lozano was found at 1.22 pm. During the check out time, the music rep was called but he informed the hotel staff that he's not in the room but there was a woman, who would check out soon. Bolno had already reportedly paid for that room as well as other rooms of the property.

‘She was a good person’
After the shocking incident, the 46-year-old, who has worked with celebrities including Pharrell Williams, Justin Bieber, Drake and Post Malone, reportedly called Lozano’s death a “terrible tragedy." He said, “I had vacated the room in the earlier part of the morning so I wasn't there when they found her. It was really sad, she was someone I really liked, and she was a good person.”
Bolno shared, “She'd been there because she was recording music the night before. She's a client and she was going to sign a record deal with me I helped her make music. I really don't want to go too deeply into it honestly it was a terrible tragedy.” The manager went on to clarify why the woman was with him in his room at the night.
He stated, “I let her stay there, there's not much more to it,” adding, “From what I was told she was found much later in the day.” He added that Lozano’s “family is devastated” after her body was found.
‘Put your head down and push forward’
In a 2018 interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Bolno, who is a Name Partner of NKSFB, said, “I have had the unique opportunity to work on some of the largest tours of the year. Additionally, watching a few of my clients have breakout success has made my year extra fulfilling.” At the time, he also mentioned that in his free time he “just like to spend as much time as I can with my family.”
In 2020, during the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bolno told Variety that “instead of running away, you put your head down and push forward. Things will fall back into the ‘new normal’ if you adapt and stay positive.”
‘You can lounge all day like a celebrity’
The hotel room in which Lozano was found dead was not a standard room. It was reported that the room costs around $2,600 per night. In 2022, Forbes listed it under 10 Best Hotels In Miami. “It’s hard not to feel like a VIP the second you waltz into the confines of the incredibly chic Setai. You can lounge all day like a celebrity at one of three temperature-controlled infinity pools, all hidden within lush tropical gardens,” the outlet wrote about it.
The magazine added, “Asian-inspired design touches such as sculptures, palms, and water pods throughout the property make for a zen vibe and incredibly relaxing stay. At the same time, there’s an underground nightlife scene that reminds you that you are, indeed, in Miami Beach.”
