Dave Bautista has called out Donald Trump over his response to the coronavirus pandemic, slamming him as a “wannabe dictator”. The former WWE professional wrestler posted an angry tweet on late Monday, April 13, following the president’s contentious White House coronavirus briefing, where he argued with various reporters over his response to the outbreak.

The 51-year-old tweeted: “He literally can’t give one honest intelligent answer. Insults is all he’s got. He’s such a delusional wannabe dictator! #FakePresident.”

This comes a month after the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star called Trump supporters “brain dead morons”. In his tweet then, Bautista said, “We’ve all had too much of Biff’s shit! Except for the brain dead morons who continue to support him without a logical thought in their minds of why they actually support him. Anyway... don’t get me started on President Dumb-Dumb.”

However, Bautista’s latest tirade against Trump was triggered by the US president calling CBS News White House correspondent Paula Reid “fake”. When Reid repeatedly criticized Trump for downplaying the gravity of the outbreak, the president said, “You know you’re a fake, you know that?”

“Your whole network, the way you cover it, is fake. And not all of you. But the people are wise to you. That’s why you have a lower approval rating than you’ve ever had before times probably three,” Trump told Reid in response to her incessant attempts to talk over him.

The ‘My Spy’ actor is a vocal critic of the Republican. In March he attacked Trump by calling him a “misogynist asshole” when C-SPAN tweeted what the president Trump wanted from the governors: "All I want them to do, very simple, I want them to be appreciative. I don't want them to say things that aren't true. I want them to be appreciative. We've done a great job."

In his response, Bautista said, “P.S. President Dumb-Dumb can you stop being a misogynist asshole for one goddamn minute. You’re such a disgrace @realDonaldTrump … how the fuck are you our president?!!!”

In July 2019, he slammed Trump by calling him a “disgrace” to everything America stands for. He also claimed that the 45th US president “doesn’t know what the American Dream is. He’s a disgrace to everything this country is. How the hell did a lying, pampas, orange, ignorant, cheap salesman tear us apart?”

Meanwhile, as previously reported, Trump has called the mainstream media as “LameStream” and also accused it of trying to keep the country closed "as long as possible" to hurt his 2020 bid. During one of his coronavirus briefings in March, he also said that the media wanted to see him doing badly in the November general election.

Later in a tweet, the commander-in-chief, who has always had a sour relationship with mainstream media, said: “The LameStream Media is the dominant force in trying to get me to keep our Country closed as long as possible in the hope that it will be detrimental to my election success. The real people want to get back to work ASAP. We will be stronger than ever before!”
