'Dare Me' Episode 8: Overlooking her coach’s sketchy behavior Addy tries to find her Beth in Colette

It remains to be seen in the upcoming episodes how Beth is going to accept Addy's blooming relationship with the coach.

The previous episode of ‘Dare Me’ sent chills down our spine by concluding on a nerve-wracking note. ‘Containment’ sees Addy (Herizen Guardiola) arrive at the hotel to find Will’s body lying in a pool of blood. The gun lying by the corpse explains the cause of death, but Colette (Willa Fitzgerald) wouldn’t tell Addy if he committed suicide or was shot dead by her.

They collect all the evidence to erase any possible trace and head out, leaving Will’s body unattended in the hotel room. Addy insists on calling the cops, but Colette is rather concerned about the impact Will’s death is going to have on her life and tells Addy to not report it.

Although Colette pretense is helping her mask her emotions, Addy isn’t able to distract herself. When she turns to Colette, the only other person aware of Will’s death, the coach summarily dismisses Addy. Collete’s unhindered confidence troubles Addy. Colette reveals that Will wanted an escape while she craved for a break. He forced her to see him one last time. However, all she got to see was his dead body.

She further explains that she only called Addy because she needed someone she could trust. Addy blindly trusts Colette and forgets everything she assumed about the coach and accepts her wholly.

While she tries to find her Beth in coach, moments before ending, Episode 8 with one of Addy’s flashbacks, reveals that hers and Beth’s relationship isn’t only limited to friendship as they are seen sharing an intimate kiss back in the day, before the coach came into their lives and wrecked everything they held onto and cherished for years.

This also explains Beth’s obsession with Addy, who is well-aware of her bestie’s feelings for the new coach, which from admiration has now turned into attraction.

It remains to be seen in the upcoming episodes how Beth is going to accept Addy's blooming relationship with the coach. Will she leak the video which shows Colette and Will make whoopee in the woods? Will Addy's involvement in the crime risk her spot on the squad which is now preparing for States Championship?
