After running high on emotions and drama for six episodes, USA Network’s ‘Dare Me’ upped its game in Episode 7 by shifting the focus to cheerleading.

More than the beauty and toxicity of cheerleading itself, what has appealed to us more on the show is the interesting portrayal of its characters which has been setting ‘Dare Me’ apart from other cheerleading shows.

In Episode 7, Sutton Grove High School's Eagles team makes it to the regionals following months of intense practice. Although Beth Cassidy (Marlo Kelly) is unable to pull herself together, she has no choice but to join the squad as they are now preparing for their next big day. As the trauma from her time with Will Mosley keeps resurfacing, Beth resorts to cheerleading to distract herself from the bitter reality and puts her entire focus on winning the state championships.

However, Beth’s fans who are familiar with her destructive behavior are worried about what she’s going to do next, which could possibly harm others and herself.  One fan wrote, “Beth is spiraling down even more. She realizes that Addy is slipping away and that if she loses her completely she will have no one and she needs Addy the most right now and she doesn’t even know it.”

“Even though Beth had a meltdown before Addy got there, seeing her sleeping made me relaxed because it’s the only time where she can rest and not have to think about how messed up her life is right now,” another added.

The viewers have also noted that Beth’s animosity was further triggered by her father’s treatment of her mother and her at the restaurant and hold him responsible for all her wrongdoings.

As Episode 7 ends with a cliffhanger by showcasing Will Mosley's (Zach Roerig) death, fans are wondering if Beth had anything to do with it.

Nevertheless, the flip in Beth’s character has left viewers dumbstruck, with one of them tweeting, “Wow that was a tense episode”.

‘Dare Me’ airs on USA Network on Sundays.
