‘Dare Me’ Episode 6: Colette’s husband 'doesn't deserve her cheating', he is the only decent character, say fans
Episode 6 of ‘Dare Me’ aired on February 9, picking off right where it ended before its week-long break due to Superbowl 2020.
Episode 6 titled ‘Red Code’ sees Beth Casiddy (Marlo Kelly) struggle to deal with the consequences of her mindless actions, which has left her shattered beyond recognition.
Meanwhile, in order to safeguard her own secret, Colette French (Willa Fitzgerald) tries to get close to Addy Hanlon (Herizen F.Guardola) and the unusual relationship between the coach and her student only gets cringe-worthy by the moment.
However, what struck the most with the viewers in the latest episode and the situation Colette’s husband Matt French (Rob Heaps) has been placed in.
Throughout, we’ve seen Matt remain a loyal husband to Colette despite her ongoing tryst with Sargeant Will. Unaware of his wife’s infidelity, Matt even drops as a pipebomb on those who question his wife's capability as a coach.
Colette’s parched relationship with Matt and her treatment of her husband has left fans with no choice but to pity the latter.
A fan noted on Reddit, “He doesn't deserve Colette's cheating on him at all. And then Colette gets into a fender bender somehow and then goes home to meet her justifiably upset husband and then cries into his arms like she's the real victim. Just a scumbag honestly. She has a relatively perfect family life and that's still not enough for her.”
Not only are the viewers dreading the thought of Matt sharing life with a woman whose intentions have always been dark, but they are suggesting that his naivety might cost his life. And, it isn’t only his life that’s at risk. The same Reddit user further stated,” I wonder who's gonna get toasted next week. My guess is either Kurtz (Chris Zylka) or Colette's husband, who will die tragically of course.”
Although Beth hasn’t been so likable herself, what Kurtz did to her still couldn’t be justified. Knowing Beth for who she is, and after witnessing behavior following the tragic night, we wouldn’t be surprised to watch her go great lengths to put her life back on track, even if she needs to hurt someone to get what she wants.
