LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'That '70s Show' star Danny Masterson’s trial for three rape charges began on Tuesday, October 18. The court heard that the 46-year-old actor threatened one of his alleged victims with a gun and told her not to tell anything to fellow Scientologist Lisa Marie Presley, who was once close to Masterson and whose testimony could turn his case, about the abuse.
As reported by DailyMail, Deputy District attorney Reinhold Mueller told the jury of nine men and nine women that Masterson's alleged victim Jane Doe 1, who was the first witness to take the stand, grew up as a Scientologist and had an "almost brother-sister relationship with him." In an incident that took place in September 2002, Jane Doe 1 allegedly laughed it off when Masterson started pulling her up the stairs at his home. She reportedly also drank one or two vodka grapefruits that night. Mueller told the court, "She felt very fuzzy from the drink and the two went to bed where they had sex. But then he flipped her over and penetrated her anally with his penis. She was very upset…she tried to fight him off. She considered the (vaginal) sex to be consensual but she did not consent to being penetrated anally", the outlet reported.

Speaking further, Mueller told the court there was "possibly a pregnancy and miscarriage following the sex encounter." He said Doe told about this to some of her Scientologist friends, including women named Brie and Paige, and Elvis Presley's daughter Lisa Marie Presley. But she did not report it to the police, states the outlet.
Muller allegedly told the court, after the first encounter, nine months later, Doe came back to Masterson's house where he gave her a “fruity red drink with vodka,” then grabbed her by the wrists and told her, “You are going into the Jacuzzi.” Mueller described by saying, “She tried to pull back saying no, no, that she didn't want to go into the Jacuzzi. All the time she's feeling impaired - she doesn't have the strength she normally would.”
But Masterson got her to the Jacuzzi where he threw her in and later, carried her upstairs to the bathroom where she vomited and blacked out, the jury reportedly heard as per the news outlet. “After a shower and passing out again, Masterson picked her up, carried her to the bed, and, with all his body weight on her, penetrated her vagina with his penis. She fought back, and pushed a pillow into his face. But he pushed it back into her face, smothering her and she passed out.” He then allegedly opened a bedside drawer and pulled out a gun threatening Doe, “Don't f*****g move. Don't f*****g move. You're not going to f*****g tell Marie. You’re not going to f*****g tell Paige. You're not going to f*****g tell Lisa," reported Daily Mail.
Following this, Doe reportedly went to the ethics officer to report the alleged rape. But he said, "If you're going to tell me this was rape, it was not rape." He warned her that reporting a fellow Scientologist to the police would be considered a "High Crime by the Church of Scientology" and she would be tagged as a "suppressive person." "So she complied. She did not report it to the police," narrated Mueller.
