'Dancing With the Stars': Tyra's outfit 'hurts like a hangover', say fans who call it grandma's sofa from '80s

Tyra Banks replaced Tom Bergeron as the host of 'Dancing With the Stars' starting this year. The latter had held the position for quite a long time, 28 seasons to be precise, and to watch him leave was something that fans didn't take well. For him to be replaced by Tyra was honestly not what they'd expected after being used to him holding the show together with his impeccable hosting. Later on, when the season premiered and Tyra couldn't do justice to Bergeron's legacy, she immediately started receiving a lot of flak for it.

Firstly, the 'America's Next Top Model' style entry that she makes at the beginning of each episode, strutting down the dance floor in too dressy an outfit is not something that fans seem to love. Secondly, fans also call her out for making unnecessary comments and asking too many questions from the contestants. Thirdly, in an episode that aired two weeks ago, she was seen rushing judge Derek Hough through the elimination process. The resounding "quick, quick, make a decision quick" was branded "rude" by viewers and that was the time the fans wanted her to be shown the door and for Tom to be brought back. Fans have even created several petitions asking Tom to be brought back to the show. Tyra did agree that there was a mistake on her end and she'd do better in the future; however, it seems like fans want absolutely nothing to do with her. A lot of them have now started to take a hit at her dressing abilities, saying that she's failing at one of the things she's best known for, given her modeling background.

I have all the questions. @DancingABC #dwts," read another tweet. "Who the hell had the idea to dress Tyra Banks up like the sofa from my grandma’s 1980’s living room? #DWTS," read another tweet. "My mum says this new dress Tyra has on looks like an armchair those ruffles at the hips are not flattering #DWTS," read another tweet. 

'Dancing With the Stars' airs Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
