'Dancing With The Stars' fans got some shocking news in the latest episode (November 2) when they found out Jeannie Mai will not be coming back to the show. The reality star revealed she had to undergo surgery and was hospitalized for the same. Mai first made the announcement while appearing on 'Good Morning America'. "My doctors discovered a health concern with my throat which requires immediate attention and surgery," she said, as reported by E! "I am heartbroken that my DWTS journey has to end here."

She further added, "I have pushed myself to new limits physically and mentally, and I am so proud of how far we've come." In a video that was shown during the show, Mai admitted she had been looking forward to the show and was sad her journey was cut short. Speaking from her hospital bed, Mai recalled her experience on the show.

Mai confessed she was happy about being part of the show as it gave her the freedom to discover new talent about herself while letting others see a different side to her. Her partner, Brandon Armstrong, admitted he was happy to see Mai in better health.

He decided to come to the show even though his partner was not there. After seeing Mai's video, Tyra became emotional and admitted it was hard to bid goodbye to someone who was so good on the dance floor. The host also recalled seeing Mai dance for the first time and how she had improved over the weeks.

Tyra stated she was trying to hold her tears back while she was hosting the show. She went on to thank Armstrong for his support and for standing by his partner through it all. Viewers of the show were quick to react to the emotional moment as many thought she had fake tears.

"Tyra is working really hard to squeeze out a tear there," read one comment. "Tyra fake crying is me trying to get out of going school," said another. "Tyra trying so hard during her little speech to Jeannie," read another comment. "Geez we needed Tom's calm sensitive voice at that moment about Jeannie, not Tyra's overhyped 'OMG OMG OMG' grief," wrote another.

'Dancing With The Stars' airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
