'Dancing With The Stars' Season 28: Kate Flannery and Pasha's beautiful execution of the Viennese waltz leaves fans emotional
Last week Kate Flannery and her partner Pasha Pashkov bagged themselves a score of 24 on 30 after they reminded viewers of the magic of 'Mary Poppins' with a jazz performance based on 'A Spoonful of Sugar' by Julie Andrews, from the same movie.
In this week's episode of 'Dancing With The Stars', Kate and Pasha were given the theme of Viennese waltz. The pair decided to dance on the beats of “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston. It didn't take Kate long enough to get into the character and adding an emotional touch to it. The judges were also mesmerized by the performance as Bruno Tonioli remarked that he loved the performance and it managed to work wonders.
Carrie Ann Inaba expressed the same emotions as she was left speechless with the performance. She remarked that Kate's dance performance was “the most victorious Viennese waltz”. Len Goodman was also taken by the performance as he saw a glimpse of some of the contemporary steps that one normally doesn't see in modern waltz performance.
He added that according to him it was a great performance. Kate's performance helped her bag an amazing score as all the three judges did not hesitate to give her a 9, making that into a total score of 27 out of 30.
Fans were also left speechless as they saw Kate's performance. Many thought that she brought magic to the floor. "A seriously brilliant #Viennesewaltz by Miss Kate...and with vertigo!! Wow!!" one fan wrote. Others could feel the emotions attached to the performance as one user commented, "Stunning! Kate is such a beautiful dancer! So emotional...I'm crying!!!" Another chimed in by adding, "That was such a good dance. I love Kate and Pasha is a great choreographer!"
Many fans took to Twitter to praise Pasha for how he chose to choreograph the song and also compliment Kate and her dance technique. "Pasha definitely knows how to choreograph a technical dance," read one tweet while another added, "Very nice Pasha and Kate!"
