Mo3's net worth: How much money did Dallas rapper make before he was shot dead? A look at his fortune
Hip-hop beefs seem to be getting a whole lot messier in 2020 as the latest artist to get fatally shot is Dallas-based rapper Mo3, whose real name has been identified as Melvin Noble. The rapper was shot and killed on Wednesday, November 11. According to TMZ, law enforcement sources spilled the beans to the publication revealing that a suspect chased him on foot on I-35E, the eastern half of the I-35 interstate highway, which splits to serve the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area. According to the reports, the victim was traveling on the northbound I-35E at Clarendon Drive just before 12 pm.
The unknown suspect first got out of his car and chased Mo3 and fired multiple rounds at him, striking Noble at least once before running for his life on the freeway. According to the police, an unnamed innocent bystander, who was inside his vehicle during the altercation, was also struck by the gunfire. Both victims were taken to a hospital, where Noble was reportedly pronounced dead.
The late 28-year-old rapper had also survived a shooting two years ago. He had shared a live video of himself via Instagram to inform his followers about being shot in the hand and possibly in the back of his head, as reported by various media outlets. However, he had then said that he was doing fine but also showed how he had blood all over his shirt.
Mo3 is most famous for his 2019 collaboration with Boosie Badazz for their song 'Errybody (Remix)'. According to TMZ, he released a couple of new songs earlier this year and has recorded three albums. Here’s a glimpse of what late rapper’s net worth looked like.
Noble is a Dallas native who received much acclaim for his songs and lyrics that talk about real-life experiences, and the obstacles he has faced which are many. Even though Mo3 had humble beginnings, he worked his way up in the Dallas’ hip-hop scene via his singles and mixtapes, as reported by the website FamousBirthsDeaths. He shot to fame with his 2014 mixtape ‘Shottaz’ for which he received immense recognition in his community. According to the website Buzz Learn, Mo3’s net worth stood somewhere between $1million-$5million and most of his money came from his YouTube videos and other social media accounts. His other big break came in 2015 when he released his album ‘Rain’, which was critically acclaimed. In one of his interviews, Noble had earlier said, “I tell the truth in my music. I’m not talking about standing in the trap and whippin’ foreign cars or having designer this, designer that. No, I’m talking about how my mom couldn’t pay her bills and when we didn’t have anywhere to sleep and stayed eating noodles every day.”
His other songs like ‘Gangsta Love’ and ‘Hold Ya Tongue’ collectively garnered over 11 million views on YouTube which further catapulted his popularity in the area. Mo3 had also received a co-sign from Lil Ronny Dorrough and his favorite artist Boosie Badazz, as published by the website FamousBirthsDeaths. His earnings shot up when his two mixtapes titles ‘4 Indictment’ and ‘Hurt My Feelings’ peaked at number 23 and number 26 respectively on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart on Billboard.
