Doomsday cult mom Lori Vallow's kids were brutally tortured with Joshua's 'head in a bag and Tylee dismembered'
The two children of 'Doomsday cult mom' Lori Vallow were likely tortured before they were killed, revealed an Idaho reporter who has been following the disturbing case closely.
Speaking on Fox Nation's 'Crime Stories with Nancy Grace,' EastIdahoNews.com reporter Nate Eaton said he believes seven-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan were not "simply put to sleep and then buried" but that there had been more to their deaths. "We know that JJ was wrapped in plastic," he shared. "He was wrapped in duct tape. There was a white plastic bag over his head."
"Tylee's remains were burned," he continued. "She was dismembered. She was buried in the ground. It's not like these bodies were simply buried in a decent manner. They were tortured, in a way."
Asked how he knew Tylee had been dismembered, Eaton said court records indicated as much, though he noted that it was unclear if that had occurred before or after the teen died. "We don't know the specifics about that," he confessed. "But we do know that her remains were also burned and they found bones when they discovered her body."
MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) previously reported on court documents filed by Brandon Boudreaux, the former husband of Vallow's niece Melani Boudreaux Pawlowski, where he claimed Vallow believed "both her children had become zombies".
Boudreaux said Pawlowski's current husband, Ian Pawlowski, had told police that Lori spoke to his wife about "zombies," which were "human bodies that have had their original spirits forced from them and have been possessed by either a demon … disembodied spirit …or a worm/slug." He said that while he and Melani were discussing Joshua and Tylee last year after they were classified missing, Melani was "told by Chad and Lori that their children had been possessed and had become zombies."
Joshua, who was autistic, and his sister were last seen in September 2019. Tylee was last seen on September 8, during a visit to Yellowstone National Park, while her brother was last seen two weeks later. Their disappearance only came to the attention of authorities in November, when concerned family members reported that they had not seen them for months.
Their remains were uncovered earlier this month after FBI and other law enforcement raided a Salem, Idaho, residence on the 200 Block of 1900 East that belonged to Chad Daybell, their mother's most-recent husband.
Aerial footage of Daybell's property showed investigators digging up soil around what appeared to be a well in the backyard. They also used a backhoe to dig up the dirt near a barn and were filmed towing one of his cars away.
The gruesome discovery of the remains came during what was a second raid on the property. Investigators had previously searched the residence on January 3 and recovered 43 items but had found nothing after combing over several sections of the backyard with metal detectors and rakes.
Daybell has since been charged with one felony count of destruction or concealment of evidence and was ordered to wear an ankle bracelet be held on a $1 million bond by a judge. Vallow, who he married less than two months after Joshua and Tylee disappeared, has been charged with two felony counts of desertion and non-support of dependent children, as well as resisting or obstructing officers, criminal solicitation to commit a crime, and contempt of court.
Both are also being investigated for conspiracy, attempted murder, and murder in the death of Daybell's first wife Tammy, who mysteriously died at their Salem home in October.
