COLUMBUS, OHIO: Hyper Social founder Braden Wallake, known as the "Crying CEO", let go of two employees last week. One of them, Noah Smith, who is a South Dakota marketing expert, is currently flooded with job offers.

Wallake wrote a long statement on LinkedIn on Tuesday, August 9, to express his sorrow about laying off staff from his company. The marketing services firm is based in Columbus, Ohio and was founded in 2016. It was later revealed that only two people had been fired. Wallake had only informed one of them. His girlfriend Emily Chucta, who is also the chief operations officer, broke the bad news to Smith.

The CEO got roasted on social media soon after he posted an awkward crying selfie while announcing the layoffs. The post went viral with 10,000 comments and over 52,000 reactions.

Wallake recently posted a photo that Noah shared with him on his LinkedIn which has gone viral. The photo showed his inbox flooded with messages regarding job vacancies. The post reads, "Noah sent me this pic the other day. Going viral was never intended, but seeing this makes every single nasty comment worth it. You guys have FILLED Noah Smith's inbox with job opportunities, job availabilities, and more. Because of you all, Noah is going to have a plethora of incredible opportunities to choose from. And wherever he decides is going to be so lucky to have him!"

The young CEO told PR Week that he had also received many messages of support. After he was asked why he did not delete the post, he said, "The reason is because I am getting countless messages from other business owners saying, 'love this, been there, worst feeling, right there with you.' There is a lot of good that has come from this post, but I am trying to not sit there reading the negative [comments]."

One user on LinkedIn supported Wallake and commented, "you're a good person. Not a perfect person (which you never aimed to be) but a good person. I hope to zoom with you one day." Wallake responded, "I'll never be perfect, and I'm happy about that. The wrong things done with good intentions will always be better than the right things done with bad intentions."
